Piston Retainer Clip

REMOVAL

CAUTION: Retainer clip may be distorted. Visually inspect for bent fingers at outer diameter of clip or distortion across retainer clip. If these conditions are present, replace retainer clip.

Air Spring:

1. Using needlenose pliers, bend each of four prongs (holding retainer clip to piston knob) outward.
2. Remove and discard retainer clip from air spring piston.

INSTALLATION
1. Align new retainer clip over piston knob.

Air Spring:

2. Position a one-inch diameter socket on piston retainer clip and push clip downward until clip is fully seated on piston knob.

CAUTION: Do not clamp any portion of the air spring piston.
