Speed Control Display In Electronic Cluster Does Not Turn Off

1. Check color of amplifier. If amplifier is brown, proceed to step 2. If amplifier is tan, replace amplifier with a brown amplifier.
2. Substitute amplifier with a known good amplifier. If display operation is not satisfactory, proceed to step 3. If display operation is satisfactory, replace amplifier.
3. Ensure that orange/light blue (circuit 203) from eight pin amplifier connector to instrument cluster is not shorted to ground. If circuit is satisfactory, problem is in instrument cluster. If circuit is not satisfactory, repair or replace as necessary.
