Throttle Body: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect throttle position sensor and air bypass valve connectors.

2. Remove PCV vent closure hose at throttle body.

3. Remove four throttle body nuts.

4. Carefully separate air throttle body from EGR spacer and intake manifold.

5. Remove and discard gasket between throttle body and EGR spacer.

Throttle Body:

INSTALLATION

1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.
NOTE: If scraping is necessary, be careful not to damage gasket surfaces or allow material to drop into manifold.

2. Install throttle body with new gasket on the four studs of the EGR spacer.
- Tighten attaching nuts to 12-18 ft lb (16-24 Nm).

3. Connect PCV vent closure hose.

4. Connect electrical connectors at throttle position sensor and air bypass valve.
