Auxiliary Air Valve (Idle Speed): Service and Repair

Bypass Air Control Valve:





REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect BAC Valve electrical connector.
3. Partially drain the engines coolant to lower the level to below the intake manifold.
4. Remove two clamps and coolant hoses.
5. Remove the BAC Valve retaining bolts and valve from the throttle body.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the BAC Valve and install the retaining bolts.
2. Install the air and coolant hoses, then secure them with clamps.
3. Connect the electrical connector to the BAC Valve.
4. Refill the cooling system to the proper level.
5. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
