Ignition Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL:

NOTE:
The EDIS module is located on the left side of the engine compartment, in front of the left strut tower.

1. Turn the ignition key OFF.
2. Remove the three module sub-bracket attaching nuts.
3. Gently pull the sub-bracket and module assembly straight up and disconnect the module electrical harness.
4. Remove the two module attaching screws from the sub-bracket. Remove the ignition module from the sub-bracket.


INSTALLATION:

1. Position the module on the sub-bracket.
2. Install the two module attaching screws and tighten to specified torque. (SEE SPECIFICATIONS/MECHANICAL)
3. Connect the electrical harness to the ignition module.
4. Position the module and sub-bracket on the module bracket assembly.
5. Install the three attaching nuts and tighten the nuts to specified torque. (SEE SPECIFICATIONS/MECHANICAL)
