Disassembly

NOTE: Synchronizer rings are not interchangeable. Keep in order of removal.

1. Press off 4th gear end bearing cone using shaft protector tool No. D80L-625-4 and bearing pulling attachment tool No. d84L-1123-A or equivalents.
2. Press off 4th gear using shaft protector tool No. D80L-625-4 and bearing puller tool No. D84L-1123-A or equivalents.
3. Remove retaining ring, then press of 3rd and 2nd gears as described in step 2.
4. Remove synchronizer ring and retaining ring.
5. Press off clutch hub assembly, synchronizer ring and 1st gear using shaft protect tool No. D80L-625-4 or equivalent and press blocks.
6. Press off 1st gear end bearing cone using shaft protector tool No. D80L-625-4 and bearing pulling attachment tool No. D84L-1123-A or equivalents.
7. Remove synchronizer springs and keys from clutch hub.
8. Remove clutch hub from clutch hub sleeve.
