Throttle Body: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the inlet air duct that connects to the throttle body and resonance chamber.
3. Disconnect the throttle body electrical connectors.
Throttle Body:
4. Disconnect the idle speed control and bypass air hoses from the ISC valve.
5. Disconnect the accelerator cable and kickdown cable (4EAT) from the throttle cam.
6. Remove the throttle body mounting bolts.
Throttle Body Removal/Installation:
7. Remove the throttle body and gasket.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the throttle body gasket.
2. Connect the idle speed control and air bypass hoses to the throttle body.
3. Place the throttle body into its mounting position and install the mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 19-25 N-m (14-19 lb.ft.).
4. Connect the throttle body electrical connectors.
5. Connect the accelerator cable and kickdown cable to the throttle cam.
6. Install the air inlet duct that connect to the throttle body and resonance chamber.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
