With Scan Tool

1. Deactivate self-test by unlatching the center button on the Super Star II tester and turn the tester off.
2. Run engine at 2000 rpm for two minutes.
3. Turn the Super Star II tester on.
4. Latch center button on Super Star II tester.
5. Turn engine OFF.
6. Turn ignition key ON.
7. Run engine at idle.
8. Activate self test by unlatching and relatching Super Star II tester.
9. Record service codes.

IF NO CODES AND SENT HERE FROM KEY ON ENGINE OFF (KOEO) SELF TEST, see Switch Monitor Test.

IF NO CODES AND SENT HERE FROM ERASE AND RETEST, Scan Tool Testing and Procedures

NOTE: If codes received in Key ON Engine Off (KOEO) self test from the first time cannot be duplicated it may be necessary to tap suspected sensors, shake and wiggle component harness, or drive the vehicle in order to induce a failure.
