With Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL)

1. START engine and bring up to operating temperature.

NOTE: If engine will not start, proceed with no start symptom test.

2. Turn the key OFF, wait ten seconds.
3. Turn ignition key ON.
4. Record any codes as they flash out.
5. Turn ignition key OFF.

IF NO CODES ARE STORED AND ENGINE STARTS, proceed with Key On Engine Running Self Test.

IF ANY CODES RECEIVED, proceed with Erase and Retest.

IF THE TEST RESULTS DOES NOT DISPLAY ANY CODES AND A NO START CONDITION EXISTS, proceed with No Start Symptom Test.
