Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

Air Cleaner Element:

REMOVAL:

1. Loosen the resonance chamber attaching clamp at the vane air flow meter and disconnect the chamber from the vane air flow meter.
2. Disconnect the vane air flow meter electrical connector.

Upper Cover Mounting Screws:

3. Remove the air cleaner assembly upper cover mounting screws.

4. Remove the vane air flow meter and air cleaner assembly upper cover.
5. Remove the air cleaner element.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install the air cleaner element.
2. Place the air cleaner assembly cover and vane air flow meter into their mounting positions.
3. Install the air cleaner assembly cover mounting screws, and tighten to 8-11 Nm (69-95 lb.in).
4. Connect the vane air flow meter electrical connector.
5. Connect the resonance chamber to the vane air flow meter and install and tighten the attaching clamp.
