ISSUE:
A "rattle" from the moon roof sunshade may be caused by excessive clearance in the guide runs allowing movement.

ACTION:
Install Flock Tape on the sunshade to reduce clearance and eliminate the rattle. Refer to the following procedure and the 1991 Escort/Tracer Service Manual, Section 01-17, for service details.


SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove the moon roof sliding glass panel, Refer to the 1991 Escort/Tracer Service Manual, Section 01-17, for removal procedure.

2. Remove the sunshade from the moon roof assembly.





3. Place flock tape on the sunshade as shown in Figure 1.

4. Install the sunshade.

5. Install the glass panel.
