Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Testing and Inspection
Typical Solenoid Valve Assembly:
1. Connect a vacuum pump to the solenoid, then apply vacuum.
Vacuum should not leak.
2. Apply battery voltage to the solenoid's terminals, while applying vacuum.
Vacuum should leak.
3. Check the resistance of each at the coil terminals, the resistance should be between 51 and 108 ohms.
If resistance is not within these values, the solenoid should be replaced.
