Fig. 17 Linkshaft Removal:

1. Clamp linkshaft in vise with halfshaft supported on workbench. Using puller adapter T86P-3514-A or equivalent and slide hammer D79P-100-A or equivalent, separate linkshaft from halfshaft, Fig. 17.
2. Pry seal from linkshaft with screwdriver.
3. Position linkshaft in suitable arbor press, then press off bearing.
4. Press on new bearing and bearing seal with arbor press.
5. Coat shaft splines with Ford CV joint grease No. E2FZ-19590-A or equivalent, then assemble linkshaft to halfshaft.
