Displaying and Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes

NOTE: Ford DOES NOT provide a procedure to retrieve or clear trouble codes. Code retrieval is integrated into the EATC Module Self-Test. Ford DOES NOT provide an alternate procedure for performing the Self-Test with an NGS or generic tester.

The control assembly detects malfunctions occurring during system self-test. The self-test may be initiated by pressing Off and Floor buttons simultaneously, then pressing the Auto button within two seconds. Activation of the self-test will stop normal operation of the system. The display may remain blank for up to 20 seconds before showing any stored error codes(s).
