Clearing Trouble Codes

NOTE: Ford does not provide a procedure to erase codes with a scan tool. The following procedure is all that Ford provides.

The original error codes in the computer from the assembly plant will erase automatically if everything is in working order and vehicle is driven about (25 mph). All error codes must be output, all fault corrected (anti-lock lamp off), and vehicle driven (25 mph) before memory will clear.
