Thermostat: Service and Repair

1. Partially drain coolant, until level is below thermostat.
2. Disconnect bypass hose from thermostat housing.
3. Mark location of distributor and loosen hold-down clamp.
4. Rotate distributor to gain access, if necessary.
5. Disconnect upper radiator hose and remove two thermostat housing bolts.
6. Remove thermostat, housing and gasket.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to specifications.
