CONVERTIBLE TOP - BACKLITE SEPARATES FROM TOP


LINCOLN-MERCURY: 1991 CAPRI


ISSUE: The convertible backlite may separate from the convertible top. This occurs because of insufficient overlap of the backlite when the original top seam was completed. Since the backlite is not a separate serviced item, the entire convertible top must be replaced.

ACTION: Install a new convertible top. Refer to the 1991 Capri Shop Manual, Section 47-07, for service details.
