Disassembly

Fork Assembly Disassembly:





1. Remove shift fork assembly from main shaft. Position shift fork assembly as shown in image. Disassemble 1st-2nd shift fork and interlock sleeve, then the 3rd-4th shift fork and interlock sleeve from shaft.

Input Gear Shaft Bearing Removal:





2. Remove input gear shaft front, rear and main bearings by pressing off shaft using bearing puller attachment tool no. D84L-1123-A or equivalent.
3. Remove 3rd-4th gears and clutch hub from main shaft by pressing shaft out. Install bearing puller attachment tool No. D84L-1123-A or equivalent, onto 3rd gear, positioning lips of tool between two sets of teeth on 3rd gear. Install shaft protector tool No. D80L-625-3 or equivalent to the end of the main shaft.

Main Shaft Disassembly:





4. Support 1st gear of main shaft on a press bed. Use shaft protector tool No. D80L-625-3 or equivalent, and press main shaft through the hub and 1st gear. Hold shaft with one hand to prevent falling.
