AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE AND CLAMP Replacement
TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Raise car hood.
2. Disconnect upper transaxle cooler hose on transaxle.
3. Raise car on hoist and remove splash shields (both sides).
4. Remove transaxle oil cooler hose (see figure A) at radiator.
*** NOTE ***
CLEAN BOTH HOSE CONNECTIONS (AT RADIATOR AND TRANSAXLE) (BE SURE THEY ARE FREE FROM ALL TRACES OF OIL AND ARE DRY).
5. Install new hose identified with a green stripe to radiator. Use new clamp. (CAUTION DO NOT USE ANY LUBRICANT ON NEW HOSE DURING ASSEMBLY)
NOTE
NO SUBSTITUTE CLAMPS ARE TO BE USED. CLAMPS MUST BE TORQUED USING A TORQUE WRENCH.
6. Torque clamp to 4 N-m (35 in.lbs.).
7. Reinstall splash shields (both sides).
8. Lower car on hoist.
9. Connect upper transaxle cooler hose to transaxle, torque new clamp to 4 N-m (35 in.lbs.).
10. Check transaxle oil level. (reference Shop Manual Section 17-27)
11. Close hood.
