Removal and Installation
REMOVAL1. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
2. Remove the brake pads as outlined previously in this section.
3. Remove the banjo bolt attaching the brake flex hose to the caliper.
4. Remove the two copper washers that seal the flex hose banjo fitting to the caliper, then discard washers.
5. Remove the two caliper retaining bolts, then lift the caliper off the rotor.
INSTALLATION
1. Remove the caliper guide pin bushing dust boots, then push out the caliper guide pin bushings.
2. Lubricate the guide pin bushings with Disc Brake Caliper Slide Grease part No. D7AZ-19590-A or equivalent, then install bushings and dust boots.
3. Position the caliper over the rotor, then install caliper retaining bolts.
4. Torque caliper retaining bolts to 29-36 ft. lbs.
5. Install two new copper washers and banjo bolt on brake flex hose, then position the flex hose on the caliper assembly.
6. Torque banjo bolt to 17-21 ft. lbs.
7. Install brake pads and shims.
8. Perform system brake bleeding procedures, then install wheel and tire assembly.
9. Torque wheel lug nuts to 65-88 ft. lbs.
