REASONS FOR THIS PROGRAM
When the convertible soft top is lowered and stowed away, it could be torn or damaged. With the top in the up position this damage could result in a water leak and some discomfort for the driver and/or passenger.

TRAINING
Dealerships in major market areas will be contacted by a training instructor to determine if the dealer or a sublet shop will perform the trim and water leak repairs. The training instructor will also inquire if either the dealer or sublet shop wants or needs any hands-on training.

Enclosed with this letter is a video training tape to compliment the attached repair instructions.

An OASIS BROADCAST MESSAGE will list the dealers and sublet shops that have been trained.

LIMITED PROGRAM LAUNCH
This program is being launched to dealers in selected states at this time to test the program while additional parts are being procured. The program will be launched to dealers in other states at a later date.

TOP REPLACEMENT
Vehicles having convertible tops replaced must be tested for water leaks before returning the vehicle to the owner.

Vehicles having evidence of leakage beyond "streamers" (see streamers below) must be repaired using repair procedures and parts identified in the installation instructions which are included.

STREAMERS
Streamers are water that enters the vehicle and runs down the inside of the glass - the water exits the vehicle behind the door trim.

Streamers do not get the interior of the vehicle wet.

Up to three streamers per side of the vehicle are considered normal, no repair action is required.

Vehicle may experience streamers during car washes and heavy rain.

REFUNDS
When all or a portion of the repair covered by the program is paid by the owner and/or dealer prior to the release of the program, both the owner and/or dealer are eligible for a refund.

See Warranty and Policy Manual, Section 6.1 Owner Notification Program and Owner Refund, for additional claims preparation and information.
