Fitment of Front Side Rail Weatherstrips On Soft Tops

Install the black foam pad on the end of the new front weatherstrips.





Remove the old front side rail weatherstrips and fit new revised seals. Refer to Figure 9.





4. Inspect the hardtop or convertible top side rail weatherstrips ensuring that they are buffed together. The two seals should be in end to end contact. Refer to Figure 10.

NOTE:
It is also important that the mating surfaces of the top side rail weatherstrips are flat and meet flush with the windshield header weatherstrip.
