Convertible Top Overtravel Stop Adjustment

1. Measure and, if necessary, adjust the front latch hook length to 25 mm as shown in Figure 22.

2. Raise the convertible top. With the rear retainer disengaged from the stowage compartment lid, latch the convertible top to the header, Figure 23.

3. Adjust the overtravel stops as follows:

A. Loosen the stop screw locknut located in rear top stowage compartment, Figure 24.

B. Rotate the stop screw to move the stop away from the "B" pillar.

C. Tighten the stop screw until the rubber pad contacts the "B" pillar, then tighten it one (1) full turn to compress the rubber stop.

D. Tighten the locknut.

E. Repeat the operation on the opposite side of the vehicle.

4. Unlatch the convertible top and close the stowage compartment lid.

5. Reinstall the convertible top rear retainer into the stowage compartment lid moulding.

A. Check the clearance between the weatherstrip and the convertible top latching hooks and guides as the top is lowered into position. If the hooks or guides contact the seal, it will be necessary to rotate the stop screw clockwise so there is no contact.

6. With the convertible top latched into position, check the siderail weatherstrip to windshield header weatherstrip contact. There should not be a gap. The seals should butt together.

7. If necessary, move the "A" pillar sections of the windshield header weatherstrip and/or the siderail weatherstrips to the required weatherstrip contact.
