Valve Body: Testing and Inspection
INSPECTION1. Thoroughly clean all parts (except check balls) in clean solvent, and blow dry with moisture free air.
2. Inspect all valve and plug bores for scores.
3. Check all fluid passages for obstructions.
4. Inspect all mating surfaces for burrs and scores.
NOTE: If necessary, use crocus cloth to polish valves and lugs. Avoid rounding edges of valves and plugs.
5. Inspect all springs for distortion.
6. Check all valves and plugs for free movement in their respective bores.
NOTE: Valves and plugs, when dry, must fall from their own weight in their bores.
7. Roll the manual valve on a flat surface to check for bent condition.
