Shift Linkage: Adjustments
ADJUST1. Position selector lever in Drive position against rearward stop.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then loosen manual lever to control cable retaining nut, or adjusting bolt.
3. Position transmission manual lever at second detent from most rearward position. This is Drive position.
4. Except Taurus; torque attaching nut to 10-15 ft lb.
5. On Taurus models, torque attaching nut to 16-27 ft lb.
6. Lower vehicle and check for proper operation of transmission in each selector lever position.
