WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

ENCLOSED WITH THIS LETTER IS A CORRECT DECAL. Please find the existing decal on your vehicle. It is located within the engine compartment on the top center of the engine cooling fan shroud (for Tempo or Topaz), or on the underside of the hood (Econoline).

Clean the surface of the existing decal to remove any oil, dirt or grease.

Remove the backing and apply the new decal over the existing decal. Smooth out any trapped air bubbles.

If you prefer, your Ford or Lincoln-Mercury dealer will apply the decal at no charge.

FORM ENCLOSED

If you have changed your address or sold your vehicle, fill out the enclosed prepaid post card.

ASSISTANCE

If the dealer cannot answer any questions you may have regarding this recall service, contact the nearest Ford Parts and Service Division District Office whose address is shown in your Owner Guide.
WHY THE NEW DECAL SHOULD BE APPLIED

If you do not apply the new decal, improper engine emissions control information could be used during service visits to a dealership, or during emissions or smog tests that may be required in your area.

Please apply this new decal to your car at your earliest convenience to assure your continued satisfaction with your vehicle.
