Standby Power Supply: Service and Repair
Removal
WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT NECESSARY FOR SYSTEM DEPLOYMENT IS POWERED DIRECTLY FROM THE BATTERY AND BACKUP POWER SUPPLY. TO AVOID ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY, THE BATTERY GROUND CABLE AND BACKUP POWER SUPPLY MUST BE DISCONNECTED PRIOR TO SERVICING OR REPLACING ANY SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable and backup power supply.
2. Open glove compartment down past its stops.
3. Disconnect backup power supply (if not disconnected) located to the right of the glove compartment opening.
4. Depress retaining tabs on rear of power supply and remove.
Installation
1. Position backup power supply to bracket. Ensure retaining tabs are secure.
2. Connect power supply connector and battery ground terminal.
3. Close glove compartment.
4. Verify air bag light.
