Wagon
1. Raise vehicle on frame contact hoist, then using suitable floor jack, raise lower control arm to normal curb height.2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove brake hose bracket from body, then the stabilizer bar U-bracket from lower control arm.
4. Remove shock absorber to lower control arm attaching nuts, then the parking brake cable and clip from lower control arm.
5. Remove tension strut to lower control arm attaching nut and bolt, then wire upper control arms and spindle to keep them from dropping down.
6. Remove lower control arm to spindle attaching nut, bolt and toe adjusting cam.
7. Carefully lower control arm with floor jack until spring can be removed.
8. Remove spring and insulators.
9. Install lower spring insulator on control arm. Ensure insulator is seated properly.
10. Position upper insulator on spring, then install spring on lower control arm. Ensure spring is properly seated.
11. Using floor jack, raise lower control arm and spring while guiding upper spring insulator onto upper spring seat.
12. Position spindle in lower control arm and install new bolt, nut and existing toe adjusting cam. Install bolt with head facing front of vehicle. Do not tighten at this time.
13. Remove wire from upper control arms and spindle assembly, then position tension strut in lower control arm and install new nut and bolt. Do not tighten at this time.
14. Install parking brake cable and clip to lower control arm, then install lower end of shock absorber. Torque nuts to specifications.
15. Install stabilizer bar and U-bracket. Install new bolt and torque to specifications.
16. Install brake hose bracket. Torque attaching bolt to specifications.
17. Using floor jack, raise lower control arm to normal curb height, then torque lower control arm to spindle nut and tension strut to body bracket bolt to specifications.
18. Install tire and wheel assembly, then remove floor jack and lower vehicle.
19. Check rear end alignment.
