ISSUE: The pressure feedback electronic (PFE) EGR transducer used on California cars is different than the service replacement transducer. The original production transducer has two connection ports with the outer (smaller) connector exposed to the atmosphere, Figure 1. The service replacement sensor has only one connection port.

ACTION: Install a new service PFE EGR transducer if service is required. Refer to Figure 1 for correct connection locations.
