Compressor/Pump: Service and Repair

Do not replace any system component without first performing the system diagnosis procedures. Replacement of satisfactory components may result.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect air line from dryer by pushing inward on retainer and pulling out air line.
3. Remove wiring connector from air compressor by pulling up and away from bracket.
4. Disconnect electrical connectors.
5. Remove three bolts attaching compressor to mounting bracket.
6. Remove compressor assembly.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Torque one bolt from top side of fender apron to 6-13 ft. lbs. Torque compressor attaching bolts to 30-40 inch lbs.
