Compressor Clutch Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the clutch hub and pulley.

2. Remove the snap ring retaining the clutch field coil on the front head of the compressor.
3. Pull the field coil from the front of the compressor.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the clutch field coil to the compressor, engaging the locator tab on the field coil mounting plate with the slot on the bottom side of the front head.
2. Install the snap ring to retain the clutch field coil on the compressor with the bevel side of the snap ring out.
3. Install the pulley and the hub on the compressor.

NOTE: Do not use air tools.
