Front Door Window Glass: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Remove the door trim panel and watershield. Doors
2. Raise the glass to gain access to three glass bracket attaching rivets. Remove the center pin of each rivet with a drift punch.
Using a 1/4-inch diameter drill, drill out the remainder of the rivet.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to pry the rivets out as damage
to the glass bracket and glass spacer retainer could
result.
NOTE: Prior to removing rivet center pins, a suitable
block support should be inserted between door outer panel
and glass bracket to stabilize glass during rivet
removal.
3. Remove glass.
Installation
1. Install spacer and retainer assemblies into the glass retention holes making sure each assembly is securely fastened.
2. Insert glass into the door between the door belt weatherstrips.
3. Position the regulator arm slide assembly into the C-channel of the glass bracket.
4. Position glass to glass bracket and install three
1/4-inch blind rivets (385323-S100) or hex head bolts (384925-S36) with three 1/4-inch- 20 nut and washer assemblies (45334-S2) to attach the glass to the glass bracket. Tighten the bolt and nut to 4-7 Nm (3-5 lb-ft). Equivalent metric retainers may also be used.
5. Adjust the glass.
