ISSUE: A "no crank" condition may be caused by a low state of battery charge. Several factors can cause a dead battery:
^ An ignition key that is left in the "ACC" position. When the key is turned off, the key will be in the "ACC" position. Additional voltage drain will be applied on the shift lock circuits and the clutch pedal starter engage switch.
^ If the hood or liftgate is unlatched, the accessory lamps will remain on. These circuits do not use mercury switches.
^ Doors that are not completely closed will cause the interior light to remain on.
ACTION: Make sure the ignition key is in the off position and the hood, liftgate and doors are closed. Refer to section 4.2 of the Warranty and Policy manual for new vehicle storage guidelines.
