Fuel Pump






Removal

1. Remove and plug the fuel inlet, discharge and return lines marking the position for proper installation.
2. Remove the two attaching bolts, gasket and spacer.
3. Remove the fuel pump assembly.

Installation

1. Remove all traces of old gasket from the mounting surfaces of the cylinder head and spacer. Position the new gasket, spacer and fuel pump against the cylinder head.
2. Position the pump and align the bolt holes in the pump, gaskets and spacer, and install the two attaching bolts, tightening to 23 - 29 Nm ( 2.3 - 3.0 m - kg, 17 - 22 ft lbs ).
3. Connect the fuel discharge fuel inlet and return hoses in the same position noted during removal and secure with clamps.
4. Start the engine and check for leaks.
