Purge Solenoid No. 1

The ECA uses the number one purge solenoid to control the evaporative emission control system in relation to temperature. When the vehicle is operated at approximately 122°F (ambient air temperature) and engine coolant is above 122°F., the ECA opens the No. 1 purge solenoid valve.
