Failure Mode Effects Management
The failure mode effects management allows the vehicle to operate safely in case of a failure in the electronic engine control system. The ECA will initiate FMEM if a failure is detected in one of the following sensor circuits:
1. Vane air flow (VAF) meter.
2. Air charge temperature (ACT) sensor.
3. Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.
4. Barometric pressure (BP) sensor.
5. Exhaust gas oxygen (EGO) sensor.
