ISSUE: Although the instructions in the Shop Manual for the disposal of a live air bag is correct, the illustration and wiring diagram of the wire connector for the center front safing sensor are incorrect. They show the sensor (female) end of the wiring connector instead of the wiring assembly (male) end. All four (4) wiring circuits should be as shown in Figure 2.






ACTION: If service is required, use the wiring illustrations/diagrams on pages 13 and 14 of this TSB. This information should be inserted in your 1988 Car Shop Manual Supplement, Section 41-58-18 and 41-58-19.
