Hesitates or Stalls On Acceleration

Definition: Momentary lack of response as the accelerator is pushed down. Can occur at any vehicle speed. Usually most severe when first trying to make the vehicle move, as from a stop sign. May cause the vehicle to stall if severe enough.

POSSIBLE CAUSE ACTION

Poor or contaminated fuel ^ Check for excessive alcohol content
^ Recommend higher grade fuel

Fuel Metering ^ Check air/fuel ratio, (O2 Sensor Voltage)
^ Perform INJECTOR BALANCE TEST,
^ Perform injector service (cleaning), refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
^ Check fuel pressure, (check vacuum line and return hose)
