ISSUE: An air conditioning compressor bracket that will not mount flush to the engine block may be caused by excessive casting flash on the power steering bracket. The affected Engine Kit is E83Z-19B969-A.

FIGURE 4:

ACTION: Grind off a maximum of about 1/16" from the A/C compressor bracket as shown in Figure 4. If the A/C bracket still cannot be mounted, grind off the matching surface of the power steering bracket.

NOTE: GRIND OFF ENOUGH MATERIAL TO ACHIEVE A 1/32- MINIMUM CLEARANCE WITH BOTH BRACKETS MOUNTED ON THE ENGINE.
