Removal

1. Remove clutch hub retaining nut using spanner wrench T81P-19623-MH or equivalent. On 10P15A compressors, use strap wrench D85L-6000-A or equivalent. It is necessary to connect field coil to a 12V source to energize the coil engaging the clutch.

2. Remove clutch hub and shims from compressor shaft with tool T80L-19703-B or equivalent, Fig. 1. Holding tool with 1 inch wrench, tighten bolt with 1/2 inch wrench. Use hub driven plate remover T88C-19703-BH or equivalent, Fig. 1a, when removing hub plate of 10P15A compressors

3. Remove clutch pulley retaining snap ring, Figs. 2 and 3.

4. Remove pulley and bearing assembly from compressor. If pulley and bearing assembly cannot be removed by hand, use a suitable puller, Fig. 5.
