TRANSAXLE - AXOD - MISSING MAIN CONTROL THROTTLE VALVE ADJUSTING SCREW

LINCOLN-MERCURY: 1989 CONTINENTAL, SABLE


ISSUE: Some AXOD transaxles were built without main control throttle valve (TV) adjusting screws. When in-plant adjustments were not required, the set screw was removed from the assembly.

ACTION: Do not attempt to install adjusting screws into the throttle valve (TV) retainer plate or adjust those units that do have an adjusting screw installed.
