Removal and Installation

Fig. 14 Oil Pump Removal:

1. Remove oil pan as described in OIL PAN.
2. Remove oil pump attaching bolts, Fig. 14.
3. Remove oil pump and intermediate shaft.
4. If necessary, pull intermediate shaft from oil pump.
5. Reverse procedure to install, when installing intermediate shaft into replacement pump ensure shaft retainer clicks into position.
