Fig. 3 Removing Wheel Flange:





1. Remove coil spring as previously described.
2. Using screwdriver, open routing clamp and disengage parking brake cable from control arm.
3. Disconnect sway stabilizer link from control arm.
4. Remove wheel flange attaching nut and washer, then wheel flange, Fig. 3.
5. Remove rear bearing hub and tie brake backing plate out of way.
6. Working from under vehicle, pull wheel stub shaft out of control arm.
7. Remove control arm inner and outer attaching bolts and the control arm.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. When installing control arm attaching bolts, ensure bolt heads face inboard.
b. With vehicle weight on tires, torque control arm attaching bolts to 63-74 ft. lbs.
