1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove cowl side trim panel attaching screws, Fig. 92.
3. Pull cowl side trim panel away from the body, disconnect courtesy light wires and remove the panel.
4. Remove upper and lower steering column shrouds.
5. Remove five screws and detach left side lower instrument panel pad, Fig. 93.
6. Disconnect speaker wires and remove left side lower instrument panel.
7. Remove three screws retaining front section of floor console to console base.

8. Disconnect power window switch and remove front section. It may be necessary to pinch console at the ``arrows'' indicated in Fig. 94, to dislodge internal tangs.
9. Remove five screws retaining storage compartment to console base, then disconnect cigarette lighter wires and remove storage compartment, Fig. 95.
10. Pull off combination fan/air conditioning rotary switch and bezel, Fig. 96.
11. Remove eight screws retaining lower right side instrument panel.
12. Disconnect speaker wires and glove box lamp, ashtray lamp, blower switch harness connector, cigarette lighter and radio connections. Remove lower right side instrument panel.
13. Remove instrument panel illumination control and intermittent wiper control rheostats.
14. Remove four instrument cluster bezel retaining screws and remove bezel.
15. Remove four screws retaining instrument cluster and pull cluster towards steering wheel.
16. Disconnect speedometer cable, harness connector, and turbo boost gauge vacuum line from rear of cluster assembly and remove cluster.
17. Remove message center fascia and its retaining screw.
18. Remove screw from graphic display module retainer, then remove retainer and pull to remove graphic display module.
19. Using a thin bladed screwdriver, pry out graphic display module electrical connector, then disconnect from module.
20. Remove three heater control retaining screws.
21. Disconnect auxiliary warning harness connector from instrument panel.
22. Remove fog lamp, and heated rear window switches by prying out from the bottom rear wiper/washer of the switch with a flat bladed screwdriver and disconnecting the harness connectors.

23. Remove five upper instrument panel retaining screws, Fig. 97.
24. Disconnect all heater-A/C vent hoses and remove upper instrument panel.
25. Reverse procedure to install.
