Rear Seats
REMOVAL1. Fold rear seat cushion forward.
2. Remove pins from buckle straps and remove buckle retainers. Install a piece of wire approximately 75 mm (3 inches) long in each strap, to prevent them from being lost inside rear seat back assembly.
3. Slide end of buckle retainer from buckle ring and pull tether strap from back of seat. If necessary, pull tether strap from seat and remove anchor plug.
4. Remove lower attaching bolt and fold rear seat backrest forward.
5. Feed webbing back through slits in carpet and remove seat belt anchor attaching bolt and washer.
6. Fold loadspace floor carpets to expose rear seat back hinges.
7. Remove three screws securing each hinge to seat backrest. Remove pivot screw securing each side hinge to vehicle.
8. Remove front screw cover and attaching screws from seat back striker mechanism cover. Repeat for other side.
9. Remove both the webbing guide bezels from top edge of seat cushion by removing two securing screws.
10. Remove attaching nut and washer assembly from top rear edge of each seat cushion.
11. Pry open two metal tags attaching bottom wire of each seat cushion.
12. Pull bottom of seat cushion forward. Then, lift it up and off seat belt retractor. Repeat this Step for other side.
13. Remove two retractor attaching bolts, and withdraw webbing through seat cushion. Repeat this Step for other side.
INSTALLATION
1. Align rear retractor bolt hole to body and loosely install attaching bolt.
2. Push retractor back and then down so that retractor aligns correctly with body panel and second retractor bolt locating hole. Install attaching bolt. Tighten retractor retaining bolts to 30-40 Nm (22-30 ft lbs).
3. Install webbing in seat cushion and install cushion. Ensure bottom wire of seat cushion is properly positioned and press metal tags into place. Install and tighten nut and washer assembly (securing seat cushion) to 3.7-4.7 Nm (2.7-3.5 ft lbs).
4. Install webbing guide bezel so that locator tabs seat in webbing guide. Install and tighten retaining screws. Repeat this Step for other side.
5. Install hinge pivot screw. Tighten to 21-25 Nm (16-18 ft lbs).
6. Install seat back panels. Tighten three attaching hinge screws to 3.7-4.6 Nm (2.7-3.4 ft lbs).
7. Install seat adjuster mechanism cover and tighten the screws. Install front screw cover. Repeat this Step for other side.
8. Extend webbing, ensuring it is not twisted. Locate notch in lower seat belt anchor to raised dimple on floor and install anchor bolt. Tighten anchor bolt to 25-45 Nm (18-33 ft lbs).
9. Install floor carpets and fold seat back into position.
10. Install twin buckle assembly to LH floor anchor. Install lap belt and buckle assembly to RH floor anchor. Ensure that notch in each of the anchor plates is aligned with locator nib on floorpan. Tighten bolts to 25-45 Nm (18-33 ft lbs). Feed buckles through slits in carpet.
11. Remove 75 mm (3 inches) wires from buckle straps. Install buckles on stalks and press pins into place. Ensure webbing is not twisted and pull stalks through gap between seat backrest and lower cushion.
