Test 3, Spark Output Check

1. Connect remote starter switch.
2. Disconnect ignition coil wire from distributor.
3. Connect spark tester between ignition coil wire and ground.
4. Turn ignition key to RUN position, then crank engine with remote starter switch and check for spark.
5. If there is spark at tester, proceed to TEST 5.
6. If there is no spark at tester, remove distributor cap and crank engine, observing whether or not distributor shaft is turning.
7. If distributor shaft does not turn, problem is in distributor or auxiliary shaft drive.
8. If distributor shaft turns, proceed to TEST 4.
