Blower Motor: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Evacuate system, then remove air cleaner.

3. Remove two line gasket-to-dash panel retaining nuts, Fig. 7.
4. Remove Torx bolt retaining refrigerant lines to expansion valve, then remove and discard seals.
5. Remove rubber seal from dash panel extension, then remove one nut retaining hot water shut off valve and bracket to extension.
6. Disconnect de-ice thermostat electrical connector and vacuum line from vacuum switch.
7. Remove vacuum line, rubber grommet, and de-ice thermostat wiring from bulkhead extension.
8. Remove six bulkhead retaining screws and the bulkhead.
9. Disconnect fan motor electrical connector and ground strap.
10. Remove two evaporator housing and fan assembly-to-cowl panel retaining screws and nuts, then remove housing and fan assembly.
11. Remove vacuum switch linkage-to-vacuum switch retaining screw.
12. Remove three blower speed regulator retaining screws, then disconnect blower speed regulator electrical connector.
13. Remove two retaining screws under housing cover.
14. Remove 18 clips retaining casing halves and separate case.
15. Remove two expansion valve retaining screws and the expansion valve.
16. Remove evaporator from lower half of housing.
17. Remove de-ice thermostat, then the blower motor attaching screw and the blower motor.
18. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Ensure thermostat is properly aligned before installing blower motor.
b. Ensure vacuum line and de-ice thermostat wiring is properly routed through extension, then install grommet.
c. Install receiver dryer fluid line and compressor suction line to expansion valve with new seals.
