Rocker Arm

Fig. 7 Exploded View Of Rocker Arm Assembly:

1. Remove rocker arm shaft assembly as previously described.
2. Remove spring washer and pin from each end of rocker arm shaft, Fig. 7.
3. Remove rocker arms, springs and shaft supports from shaft. Mark components for assembly reference.
4. If necessary to remove shaft plugs, drill plug on one end, knock out plug on opposite end, then knock out remaining plug from remaining end.
5. Drive new shaft plugs into position using a blunt tool. Ensure cup side of plugs face out.
6. Install spring washer and pin on one end of shaft, then lubricate shaft with heavy engine oil and install components in same sequence as they were removed.
7. Install remaining spring washer and pin, then apply heavy engine oil to rocker arm pads.
8. Install rocker arm shaft assembly, ensuring oil holes in shaft point down.
