Rear Lap Safety Belt

Removal
To remove the rear safety belt retractor and/or safety belt assembly it will be necessary to remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Remove the safety belt and/or retractor bolt and remove the assembly.

Installation
1. Position outboard safety belt anchor directly over seat back bracket. Install anchor bolt and tighten to 30-43 Nm (22-32 lb-ft).
2. Place retractor assembly directly over the center attachment (belt toward front of vehicle). Position center safety belt anchor 90 degrees to retractor (inboard). Install anchor bolt through both center safety belt anchor and retractor anchor. Tighten to 30-43 Nm (22-32 lb-ft).
3. Install seat cushion assembly.

NOTE:
- When only the outboard or center safety belt assembly is replaced, the brass ring holding one anchor of the center safety belt assembly and the buckle end anchor of the outboard safety belt must be pried open and discarded in order to slide belt anchor out of assembly.
- Station wagons do not have seat back bracket. Align safety belt anchor with bead in floorpan.
