Front Safety Belt Retractor and Harness Assembly

Removal

NOTE: Seat Belt Bolt Bit T77L-2100-A or equivalent should be used for removal and installation.

1. Remove trim covering safety belt assembly.
2. Remove anchor bolt and rubber washer.
3. Unthread tongue and anchor through trim panel.
4. Remove retractor bolt.
5. Remove D-ring bolt and remove retractor half of belt assembly.
6. Remove anchor bolt from buckle half of safety belt. (On LH belt, disconnect chime wire.)
7. Rotate buckle half of belt out of seat grommet.

Installation
1. Route buckle half of outboard safety belt and one-half of inboard belt through the seat grommet. Attach to floorpan with one anchor bolt. Tighten bolt to 30-43 Nm (22-32 lb-ft). Repeat for opposite side if complete center belt is affected. (On LH belt, connect chime wire.) Slide boot over bolt head.
2. Install D-ring bolt. Tighten to 30-43 Nm (22-32 lb-ft).
3. Position retractor so tension adjuster plunger lines up with hole in B-pillar. Install retractor bolt and tighten to 30-43 Nm (22-32 lb-ft).
4. Thread tongue and anchor through trim panel before attaching anchor.
5. Install anchor bolt and rubber washer. Tighten bolt to 30-43 Nm (22-32 lb-ft).
6. Install trim.
